Val Kilmer Signs for New Emmett/Furla Film

Emmett/Furla Films, a wholly owned subsidiary of Family Room Entertainment Corporation, has signed a development deal with Val Kilmer. Emmett/Furla will produce and Val Kilmer will star in a yet to be determined production, which will commence filming within twelve months.

Emmett/Furla is currently in post production on their most recent outing with Val Kilmer, Blind Horizon, which Lions Gate will distribute. Freshman helmer, Michael Haussman, directed the film, which also starred Neve Campbell and Sam Shepard.

Also with Lions Gate, is the Val Kilmer starrer, Wonderland, which will be in theaters on October 4. The film was recently accepted into the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival, where it will make its world premiere. It also stars Lisa Kudrow, Kate Bosworth and Dylan McDermott. Emmett and Furla executive-produced the picture for producer Holly Wiersma and director James Cox.

Emmett and Furla stated: "Val is a gifted actor and a good friend and we expect our relationship to have continued success. We are fortunate to have this opportunity to work so close with Val on a creative level. We are currently zeroing in on the right project and we expect to be in production by the Spring of '04."
